History
Pigeon Lake Golf Club and RV Park (PLGC) is an iconic fixture in Pigeon Lake and the best 18-hole golf course and RV Park in Mulhurst Bay, Alberta.
(That’s a bit of an inside joke as we are the only golf course in Mulhurst Bay!)
We are located at 5401 Lake Drive; access our parking lot via our main driveway just to the south of the Cedar Crest Inn.
We have 145 RV sites at PLGC and as of now, there are a few sites available for lease for the 2022 Season! Our RV Park is unlike the newer, cookie-cutter RV Parks that all look the same.
The PLGC RV Park is an eclectic mixture of RV’s, trees & green spaces, awnings, decks & patios, one or two gazebos and a whole lot of family. If you’re looking for a unique golf and recreational community to spend your summers at, come check us out!
We offer water, power, and sewer hook-ups on each site as well RVs can be left on site year-round without having to remove them to source other winter storage.
Many of our RV Park tenants have been community members for over twenty years. Some have been with us for thirty years. We see multi-generations of families that now rent multiple RV sites at PLGC.
Speak to some of our long-time tenants and they might tell you about the hay-days of the Oilers when players would take a helicopter out to PLGC to play a round of golf and sit afterwards on our patio overlooking the lake for a cold beverage and a great meal.
In 1991, PLGC was purchased by Louis Bull Tribe who still owns it 100% today. Tribal leadership saw this investment as a wise choice to improve the economic viability of the Tribe for future generations. They also saw the strong sense of community within the RV Park. To all of our RV Park residents and our golf course patrons, we want to say thank you on behalf of Louis Bull Tribe for your contributions to our community.
In late 2018 we developed a 5-year improvement plan for PLGC property. Year One (2019) saw golf course condition improvements, tree removal, and the removal of the old club house. Year Two (2020) saw golf course drainage work, more tree maintenance, equipment upgrades for the golf course and repair of the RV Park roads. Year Three (2021) will focus on further improving the golf experience at PLGC, more maintenance equipment upgrades, and other improvements to the RV Park.
We hope you consider joining our PLGC community!
